SHARD – TERMS OF USE

Shard provides a trading interface that helps users interact with Polymarket smart contracts and liquidity.

The Services are non-custodial: Shard does not hold user funds, private keys, or execute trades on behalf of users.

Users interact directly with blockchain networks and external smart contracts at their own risk.

The Services must not be used in any jurisdiction where operating, accessing, or trading on prediction markets is illegal. If you access Shard from such regions, you do so at your own risk and responsibility.

All software, source code, designs, logos, graphics, databases, and content made available by Shard are our intellectual property.

We grant you a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

No part of the Services may be copied, distributed, resold, publicly displayed, or reverse-engineered without our written permission.

Any breach automatically terminates your right to use the Services.

By using Shard, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years old
• You have legal capacity to enter into these Terms
• You are not located in a restricted jurisdiction
• Your use of the Services will comply with applicable laws
• You will not use automated tools, bots, or scraping systems to access Shard
• You are solely responsible for any blockchain transactions you execute

We reserve the right to suspend access if any information provided is inaccurate or misleading.

Some features may require account creation.

You agree to keep your account credentials secure and accept responsibility for all activity occurring under your account.

We may refuse usernames or accounts deemed inappropriate or harmful.

Shard may display market info, analytics, price feeds, and UI tools for executing trades.

We do not guarantee real-time accuracy or uninterrupted availability.

We reserve the right to change or discontinue any part of the Services at any time.

Some features may require payment of fees.

Payments may be accepted in cryptocurrency.

You agree to provide accurate payment and wallet information.

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors, refuse transactions, or suspend access for fraudulent or unlawful activity.

All purchases and fees are final. No refunds.

If Shard provides downloadable tools or browser extensions, use is licensed, not sold.

Software is provided "as is" with no warranties of any kind.

You agree not to:

• Break laws or regulations related to trading or prediction markets
• Circumvent access controls or scrape data
• Introduce viruses or malicious code
• Attempt to reverse engineer our platform
• Use Shard to manipulate markets or commit fraud
• Impersonate other users
• Interfere with servers or infrastructure

Violation may result in account suspension or legal action.

If you submit feedback, comments, ideas, or content, you grant Shard a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use and reproduce such content.

You must not post illegal, defamatory, abusive, misleading, or discriminatory content.

By submitting any content to Shard, you authorize us to store, publish, or reuse it for product improvement, marketing, or business purposes.

You waive moral rights where permitted by law.

Shard integrates with external services including:

• Polymarket smart contracts
• Blockchain networks
• Wallet providers

We are not responsible for: third-party content, failures, smart contract risk, loss of funds, or your interactions with external providers.

Use them at your own risk.

We may: limit access, disable accounts, remove content, block IP addresses, or suspend features to protect the platform or comply with law.

We care about privacy and security.

We may collect analytics, device data, and limited personal information needed to operate the Services.

By using Shard, you consent to data processing as described in our full Privacy Policy, available on our Site.

If you believe any content violates copyright, contact us at legal@shard.bet.

We may suspend or terminate access at any time for breach of these Terms or illegal activity.

You are prohibited from creating new accounts after termination.

We may update, suspend, or discontinue features without notice.

We are not liable for downtime, network failures, or inaccuracies.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the British Virgin Islands.

You agree that any disputes will be handled in courts or arbitration venues located in the British Virgin Islands.

Before any formal action, both parties agree to attempt informal resolution.

Unresolved disputes may be handled via binding arbitration, per the laws of the governing jurisdiction.

No class-action claims permitted.

Shard is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE".

We do not guarantee:

• Accuracy of data or prices
• Error-free uptime
• Successful trade execution
• Profitability
• Availability of third-party services
• Absence of bugs, exploits, or smart contract risk

You trade at your own risk.

Crypto trading involves significant financial risk and may result in complete loss of funds.

Shard does not provide financial, investment, or legal advice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Shard, its team, and affiliates will not be liable for:

• Lost profits
• Blockchain failures
• Smart contract bugs
• Market losses
• Technical issues
• Downtime
• Loss of funds due to user error or third-party services

Total liability is limited to the lesser of: the amount paid to Shard in the last 12 months or $1 USD

You agree to indemnify and hold Shard harmless from claims, damages, and legal fees arising from: your use of the Services, violation of the Terms, or interactions with third-party smart contracts.

We may store and process limited data for operating the Services.

We are not responsible for loss or corruption of data.

You are solely responsible for backing up your information.

By using Shard, you consent to electronic communication, digital signatures, and electronic records.

Shard is a user interface — not an exchange, custodian, broker, or financial institution.

Users are solely responsible for: connecting wallets, executing trades, complying with their local laws, and managing their own funds.

Shard is not liable for failed transactions, blocked access, unavailability, or financial loss.

We do not guarantee profitable performance or liquidity.
